Job Overview:

We are currently seeking Fruit Farm Workers to join our team at a well-established fruit farm in Kelowna, BC. As a Fruit Farm Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks involved in fruit cultivation, including mixing fertilizer, weeding, fertilizing and spraying crops, and harvesting fruits. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a passion for fruit farming.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in fruit farming or related field

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

  • Familiarity with apple and cherry crops is an asset

  • Experience operating farm equipment such as fertilizer applicators, fruit harvesters, sprayers or dusters, and tractors

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Mix fertilizer according to specific requirements

  • Perform weeding to ensure the growth of healthy crops

  • Apply fertilizers and spray crops as needed

  • Harvest crops efficiently and with care

  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve farm objectives

Additional Information:

  • Staff accommodation is provided

  • The position is full-time with a term contract until June 30, 2025

  • Work conditions may involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

  • We are looking for individuals who are team players and demonstrate a strong work ethic
