Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week, full-time

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Dairy Farm Workers to join our team in Oyster Bed Bridge, PE. As a Dairy Farm Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to dairy farming, including animal care, equipment operation, and general farm duties. If you have a passion for working with livestock and enjoy the challenges of a dynamic farm environment, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to work in various outdoor and weather conditions

  • Knowledge of livestock health and handling techniques

  • Experience operating farm machinery and equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and procedures

  • Valid driver's license is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with calving, clipping, and handling animals

  • Monitor animal health and administer necessary treatments

  • Feed and tend to animals, including milking cows

  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as loaders and tractors

  • Clean stables, barns, and barnyards

  • Detect and address livestock health issues

  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns and pens

  • Maintain work records and logs

  • Adhere to farm safety and bio-security procedures

Additional Information:

  • Staff accommodation is available

  • Transportation is required (own vehicle)

  • Fast-paced work environment with physically demanding tasks

  • Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and organization skills are important

  • References and a letter of recommendation are required
