The Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) allows employers in Canada to hire foreign nationals. It is a temporary Canada work visa that was created to provide opportunities for foreign workers who want to get employment in Canada for a short period of time. The TFWP is jointly operated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

IEC authorizes temporary stay in Canada, with the approval of work permits for a maximum of one year.
