Job Overview:

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Fish Farm Workers in Union Bay, BC. As a Fish Farm Worker, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, including feeding, maintenance of equipment, cleaning enclosures, and assisting with the handling and packing of aquaculture stocks. Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required

  • Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training

  • Ability to work in cold and refrigerated environments, as well as in/on water

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks

  • Physical stamina to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

  • Team player with flexibility, dependability, and good judgment

Responsibilities:

  • Feed aquaculture stock according to specified schedules and protocols

  • Operate, clean, and maintain pumps, filters, and other aquaculture equipment

  • Clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures to ensure a healthy environment for the fish

  • Transfer stock to tanks in trucks and pack them in specialized containers

  • Participate in the digging, cleaning, sorting, and packing of shellfish, if required

  • Grade and weigh aquaculture stocks to ensure quality standards are met

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the work area
