Our 240-hectare farm is home to a contented herd of 420 cows, and we take pride in producing high-quality milk through efficient and animal-friendly practices. We are currently seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team and contribute to the success of our operation.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Dairy Farm Assistant at our Bainesse farm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our dairy. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with milking and herd feeding.
Participating in general farm tasks and maintenance.
Setting up break fences and maintaining farm infrastructure.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment, yards, and the dairy area.
Identifying and treating common animal health issues.
Learning new skills quickly and being hands-on in various aspects of dairy farming.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Eagerness to be involved in all facets of dairy farming.
Previous farming experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Positive attitude and adaptability.
Benefits:
Competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000 depending on experience.
Work approximately 40 to 50 hours per week.
