Part-Time Farm/Field Worker - State College PA

The College of Agricultural Sciences, Farm Services seeks to hire individuals to fill part-time wage payroll positions to work the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Job responsibilities will include:

Assist with everyday farming activities using various farming equipment such as tractors, manure spreaders, and mowers on University farms.

Assist with hay and straw harvest.

Assist with field harvest operations.

Assist with Snider Agricultural Arena maintenance and event staging requirements.

Assist with general maintenance of equipment and vehicles.

Perform clean-up duties in and around farm buildings and fields as needed.

Tolerance to various environmental conditions is required.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A Valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. A Commercial Driver`s License (CDL) is preferred but not required. In addition, if you are a CDL holder, employment will be pending on medical clearance. We require all candidates to be current, full-time Penn State students.

Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as the need arises. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters.
