Australian visas
There are several Australian visa types you can choose from. The Visitor visa allows you to visit Australia, either for tourism or business purposes. Working holiday visas are valid for one year, or up to three years if you meet certain conditions. If you intend to study in Australia, you will need to apply for a Student Visa. Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) allows skilled migrants to live, study and work in designated regional areas for a period of 5 years, with a pathway to permanent residency. This is a provisional visa that allows you to live, work and study in a designated regional area of Australia. After 3 years, subclass 491 visa holders may be eligible to apply for the subclass 191 visa which provides permanent residency.
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa
The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme subclass 187 is a visa program that allows employers in regional, remote or low population areas to sponsor (nominate) skilled overseas workers for permanent residence. This is a permanent residence visa. It allows you and any family members who have also been granted this visa to live, work and study in Australia indefinitely.
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494)
The Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) visa (subclass 494) is a provisional employer-sponsored visa allows you to study, live or work in Australia for a maximum period of 5 years. The SESR visa enables regional employers to address identified labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
