Suzuki Farm Wagyu is a premier vertically integrated Wagyu beef company known for its high-quality production in a unique Japanese-style feeding operation. With continuous growth in our operations, we are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join our team at a 700-head Wagyu feedlot and farm in the Western Slopes. Our property is diverse, encompassing cropping, breeding, and grazing operations.

Job Description:

We are offering a unique opportunity for individuals eager to advance their careers in a Japanese-style feedlot setting. As a Farm and Livestock Hand at Suzuki Farm Wagyu, you will play a pivotal role in our high-performance team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Animal husbandry in a feedlot environment

  • Feed delivery and management

  • Artificial breeding support

  • Breeders management

  • General maintenance and facility cleaning

  • Operation of farm machinery

  • Multitasking and problem-solving within a technical operation

  • Accurate data recording

  • Ensuring the feedlot, machinery, infrastructure, and property are well-maintained

  • Collaborating with staff and managers to ensure a safe and productive work environment

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A professional attitude towards farm and feedlot operations with great attention to detail

  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to our unique Japanese-style feeding system

  • The ability to work collaboratively as a team player, both with company staff and contractors

  • While not mandatory, having 2 years of quality livestock experience would be beneficial

  • Availability to work on a 5-days-on, 2-days-off roster system to maintain consistent feedlot operation

  • A current Australian driver's license
